JEC Nursery opens at 8:00 a.m.
As children arrive, staff receive their communication notebooks and carefully check their condition and who will collect them that day.
After putting belongings in their lockers, children enjoy free play indoors.

Morning circle · 8:40–9:10
Each morning all children gather for songs, finger games and a cheerful roll call.

Morning snack · 9:10–9:30
We offer milk, tea, fruit and light snacks. Unlike adults, young children cannot obtain all their daily energy through just three meals.
Snacks therefore focus on light foods such as rice balls, sandwiches, fried noodles and cheese.

Outdoor play is a major part of our everyday activities.
Children move freely and enjoy playing in contact with nature.
Outdoors, children invent and adapt their own play in nature, exploring sensations beyond indoor play: smells, textures, touch, tastes, colors, temperatures, discomfort, joy and fun.

Meals are prepared for children's ages, with allergy-related arrangements.

Nap time · 12:00–14:30
We read picture books to children before their nap each day.
Children aged 1–3 are said to need about 12 hours of sleep. Along with a regular early bedtime and wake-up routine, naps are an important part of their day.

Waking up · 14:30–14:45
After waking up, children change clothes and diapers.

English time on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
Chinese time on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Ages 1–2 are an important time for absorbing the foundations of language.
