Childcare when unwell
* Please keep your child at home in the following situations.
- An acute infectious illness, such as chickenpox, mumps, measles, rubella, influenza or rotavirus, poses a risk to other children.
- Children who are highly susceptible to infection and at risk of severe illness, for example those taking immunosuppressants for blood cancers, serious heart or kidney disease, or connective tissue disease.
- A persistent fever. Please also stay home if the morning temperature is 37.5°C or above.
- Severe vomiting or diarrhea with signs of dehydration, such as dry skin or lips, no tears, or lethargy.
- Severe coughing or breathing difficulty, including an asthma attack.
- Any other condition a doctor considers unsuitable for nursery attendance.
- During influenza season (November–March), children who have had a fever of 38.5°C or above by the previous day should be tested for influenza at their pre-attendance medical consultation.
Communication arrangements
Please notify us by 9:30 a.m. if your child will be late or absent.
Please make sure all family members know the nursery's address and telephone number.
